'The truth is always of some importance (smiles) Just a little tip for you there'

Belinda and Cody Phipps are the perfect all-American couple. High school sweethearts and now married.
They are successful, rich and beautiful. Oh, did I mention he’s a black guy?

The arrival of an old classmate, barely remembered by either, back into their lives awakens long buried tensions and old prejudice.

Set in small-town America, LaBute’s darkly comic play considers the power of the truth, ill-considered choices, and people's capacity for cruelty.

Prolific playwright and filmmaker Neil LaBute is best known for his unsettling portrayal of human relationships. His body of work includes ‘The Shape of Things’, ‘Bash’, ‘Fat Pig’ and ‘The Company of Men’ and the recent film ‘Death at a Funeral’
