"The most amusing man in a profession full of awful people" Atticus, Sunday Times
Michael Winner's one-man show traces, through hilarious stories, his life in show business, how he became a top Hollywood director and in particular humorous tales of the stars he directed and befriended including Marlon Brando, Sophia Loren, Charles Bronson, Burt Lancaster, Orson Welles. Fay Dunaway, Anthony Hopkins and many others, even O J Simpson. Few British directors have had the movie experience of Michael Winner. He made his first film in 1957. His "talk" which is always met by gales of laughter, started in 1966 at the National Film Theatre, he has since performed it at the American Film Institute in Los Angeles and Washington, universities Oxford, Cambridge, London, Durham, Trinity Dublin and many more. He has also toured the UK, filling theatres, doing some 15 shows a year and turning down offers to do many more. "The audience are a vital part of the fun," says Winner. Their participation is terrific. Michael Winner also touches on his commercials (Calm down Dear it's only a commercial) and his restaurant reviewing and now his recent TV stardom in Michael Winner's Dining Stars for ITV.
